Phase II Study in the Analysis of T Cells to Tetanus Toxoid Antigens in Patients With Pancreatic Cancer Treated With Gemcitabine

Summary

The purpose of this phase II study is to evaluate whether one tetanus toxoid (TT) vaccination combined with gemcitabine treatment activates a type of immune cells, called T cells, in pancreatic cancer patients. In mice with pancreatic cancer there is evidence that one tetanus toxoid (TT) vaccination (that patients receive from childhood) combined with gemcitabine activates these killer T cells and improves T cell responses.
